UCC's
REVISED ARTICLE 9
SB 74, effective July 1, 2001
Effective
July 1, 2001, all UCC's on chattel property will be filed with the Secretary
of State of Ohio. The County Recorder will only accept terminations
on previously filed UCC's.

new form for filing UCC's is available on the Secretary of State's web
page at - www.state.oh.us/sos
or www.ohio.gov/sos
Any
questions you might have on chattel property UCC's are referred to the
Secretary of State at 614.466.2655.
- UCC
filed on real property:
$12.00 plus $4.00 for each name indexed. (includes debtor,
secured party and any land owner)
Box
6 on the new form must be checked in order for the Recorder's office
to accept UCC (this financing statement is to be filed in the real estate
records)
- UCC
Termination:
$12.00 each for terminations on chattel UCC's already on file
in the recorder's office
On
termination of UCC's that were filed against real property,
$12.00 plus $4.00 for each name indexed
- Searches:
$20.00 for search (no fee for findings)
$2.00 for each copy (searches will no longer be certified by Recorder.
List generated by computer with debtor's UCC listing will suffice
for printout search) All searches must be in written form
- Correction
Statement: (new type UCC filing)
May be filed amending any UCC filed prior to or after July 1, 2001.
Fee: $12.00 for filing if amending a UCC that had been filed prior
to
July 1, 2001
When
amending a fixture filing, the fee is $12.00 plus $4.00 for
each name indexed
